Carla Abellana might be on the path toward healing following her controversial split from ex-husband Tom Rodriguez, but admitted that forgiving a certain someone who “was never truly sorry” was a tough lesson she learned.
Without disclosing Rodriguez’s name, Abellana briefly opened up about the “hardest lesson” she learned in life, as seen in a short clip uploaded on her personal Instagram page on Saturday, Aug. 13.
“One of the hardest lessons in life is to forgive someone who was never truly sorry,” she said, before the video was abruptly cut short. The actress also didn’t disclose whom she was referring to in her post.

The actress’ post attracted the attention of netizens in the comments, including celebrities such as Maxene Magalona, who happened to be healing after her separation from estranged husband Rob Mananquil, and Benjamin Alves.

The clip comes more than a year after Abellana’s divorce from Rodriguez was finalized in June 2022. Abellana had claimed that she was “disrespected, betrayed and was made to look stupid” by her ex-husband. It can be noted that the actor is an American citizen.
Despite their split, the Kapuso star admitted during a lie detector interview that she remained hopeful that she would fall in love again at the right time. /ra
