It can be recalled that in June last year, Padilla took to his social media pages to say that his children with ex-wife Marjorie Barretto—Julia, Claudia, Leon—“forgot” to greet him on Father’s Day. Leon then responded to this, asking Padilla to stop the “public shaming” of his children.
Months later, Julia confessed in an interview with broadcaster Karen Davila that she was needing more fatherly love and protection, which she was “not getting right now” from Padilla.
Padilla refuted his daughter’s statements and noted that she only knew “half the truth” about their family. He also stressed that he was not after his children’s money, and that he only reached out for them to spend time with him. /ra
