Rabiya Mateo, Jeric Gonzales spark talks of reconciliation after sweet Valentine messages

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and fellow Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales on Wednesday pushed some kilig buttons a day after Valentine’s Day when they posted sweet messages to one another, sparking talks of a rekindled romance.
Gonzales penned a late yet heartfelt Valentine’s Day greeting for Mateo on Wednesday, Feb. 15, as he shared glimpses of their favorite moments together.
“Hindi pa siguro late para bumati (It’s not yet too late to greet you, right)? Happy valentines my love @rabiyamateo I will and always love you,” he said in the caption.

The beauty queen-turned-actress, for her part, responded to her ex-boyfriend’s post in the comments, saying “I love you @jericgonzales07. Blessed to spend [two] Valentine’s dates with you.”

Celebrities and friends such as actors Dennis Padilla and Thou Reyes, expressed their support for the ex-partners, as seen in the “Ang Lihim ni Urduja” star’s comments section.

While it’s unknown whether Gonzales and Mateo got back together or not, the former revealed in a Feb. 15 episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” that their reunion is “getting there” after he was asked by Boy Abunda.
“Hindi pa po (Not yet). Getting there,” he replied.
Abunda then asked the actor to rate the status of their relationship on a scale of one to 10, with the latter being “there.”
“Six,” Gonzales initially said, before changing his answer to an “eight.”
Gonzales and Mateo confirmed that they were in a relationship in March 2022, as they also went Instagram official in the same month. Three months later, they sparked breakup speculations after netizens noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted photos of one another.
The “Start-Up” star then went on to describe the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 titleholder as a “good friend” in September 2022, although he revealed that they’ve broken up due to “misunderstandings” in terms of priorities in “career and life” in an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal a month later.
The ex-partners were then spotted together at the GMA Sparkle Spell halloween party in October 2022, and starred together in an episode of the GMA anthology series “Wish Ko Lang” in November of the same year. EDV
