Jessy Mendiola has made her 30th birthday celebration a little more special by gifting herself a luxury watch to mark the milestone.
The actress, who turned 30 last Dec. 3, gave a glimpse of her birthday celebration with her family on her YouTube vlog yesterday, Dec. 15.
“I’m so happy kasi finally, nakapag-celebrate ako ng aking birthday, with my family. I feel blessed kasi everyone’s healthy, and medyo nakumpleto kami this time,” she said.
(I’m so happy because finally, I can celebrate my birthday with my family. I feel blessed because everyone’s healthy and we were sort of complete this time.)
Mendiola also showed the surprise celebration set up by her close friends, her birthday dinner with her husband Luis Manzano and family, and the gift she got for herself—a luxury self-winding Patek Philippe watch with a rose gold case and a white rubber bracelet.
“Itong bagay na ito, sobrang big deal siya for me. It’s a milestone para sa’kin na makakuha ng ganitong gift for myself. It’s a nice gift to give myself on my 30th birthday. Naisip ko lang din, ano bang pwedeng bagay na investment and at the same time, pwede siyang heirloom piece,” she told fans.

Mendiola hopes to pass on the luxury watch to her first child, who she is expected to welcome soon. She also said that it is important to give oneself a “reward” for certain milestones in life.
“It doesn’t have to be a watch. It doesn’t have to be something na bongga. Basta ‘yung feeling niyo magiging masaya kayo kumbaga parang reward niyo sa sarili niyo for that certain point in your life, I say go for it,” she stated.

Manzano and Mendiola, who tied the knot last year, announced last August that they are expecting their first child. The couple then revealed in the same month that they will be welcoming a baby girl into their family. /ra
