WATCH: ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ trailer shows Miles face off with multiverse of threats
Miles Morales is back as Spider-Man in the newly released “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” trailer, and it appears he is about to face off with a multiverse of Spider-People.
The trailer for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” released on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s YouTube channel today, Dec. 14, shows a slightly older Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) talking to his mom, who is worried that he is not her little boy anymore.
It then shows moments from the original “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” movie, before Miles finally reunites with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and she invites him to an adventure to another universe.
Their journey allows them to encounter various Spider-People including the 2018 PlayStation game’s Spider-Man, Spider-Man in the Bombastic Bag Man costume and Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker, who also appeared in the first movie. However, many of these Spider-People appear to be antagonistic toward Miles as they chase and fight him on sight.
“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson. The first teaser for the film was released in December last year and the film is set to be released in June 2023. /ra
