YG Entertainment to launch project to narrow cultural gap
YG Entertainment is organizing Project Yourside to help relieve the cultural gap between metropolitan areas and the rest of Korea, it said Tuesday.
The project will be held in Wanju, North Jeolla Province, in South Korea, from Dec. 2 to 4, bringing its artists—including dance crew YGX and singer-turned-philanthropist Sean—to offer a range of programs to the wider public.
The label seeks to provide more opportunities and experiences of pop culture to youths across the nation. It will not be a one-off event but grow into a stable and sustainable program, added the company. The project is the first in its revamped social contribution campaign. /ra
