Most people who recover from COVID-19 do so within weeks or months. But recent data found that others who had been infected with the coronavirus can sometimes experience “a variety of mid- and long-term effects” after recovery, collectively known as post-COVID-19 condition, or long COVID.

“Kahit anong ingat ang ginawa ko, nakuha pa rin po ako ng COVID. So ang advice po ng mga doctor sa’kin, I really had to rest. In fact, up to now kailangan medyo rest lang,” she said.

“Please, COVID is still here. Lalo na sa tulad ko po, sa edad ko na mga senior, you really have to be careful. Hindi po talaga madali,” she stated. (Please, COVID is still here. Especially those like me who are senior citizens, you really have to be careful. It really isn’t easy.)

Santos also assured her fans that she is trying to get well and “get back into the groove.”

“Pasensya na kayo, hindi ko nasasagot ang mga text niyo. Wala pa akong vlog pero ngayon I’m trying my very best. Babalik din tayo,” she told them. (I am sorry I have not been able to answer your texts. I also did not get to vlog, but now I am trying my best. We will get back.)
