Dimples Romana ecstatic over hearing ‘cool sound’ of daughter pilot Callie in flight
Dimples Romana could not help but feel proud for her daughter Callie, after she heard the latter doing radio calls for a flight as she continues to study aviation.
The actress cheered on her daughter while she shared an audio clip of Callie talking via radio during a flight, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 28.
“That cool sound of future Capt. [Callie’s] dreams slowly coming to life. Cessna 172. Call sign Victor, Victor, Papa to Gold Coast tower radio calls. That’s my girl!” she said.
Romana then recalled an advice she had received from her father about teaching one’s children to be dreamers.
“Sabi ng Tatay ko (My father said), one day when I will have children of my own, apart from kindness and respect, I must be able to impart to them the value of DREAMS…,” she told fans. “Mas mabuti na daw kasi ang mahirap na may pangarap kesa may kaya na walang pangarap. Tama naman.” (He said it is better to be a poor person with dreams than being rich without aspirations. He is correct.)

“So in anything, just like what my Papa made sure I knew before he had passed on, NEVER be afraid to be uncomfortable, EMBRACE the uncertainty, never be afraid to FAIL, never be afraid to TRY, and TRY HARDER,” she added.
Romana then expressed pride for her daughter and noted that Callie has hope and faith, which she believes is all one needs to fulfill their dreams.
“Proud of you [Callie]. You make dad [Papa Boyet] and I look so darn good. LOVE YOU,” she told Callie.

Last March, Romana sent Callie off to Australia to study aviation. A few months later, in July, the actress witnessed her daughter fly a plane for the first time with the supervision of an instructor.
By August, Callie was already able to pilot a plane on her own. She also passed her private pilot license exams earlier this month. /ra
