Maxene Magalona tells in-laws amid split with Rob Mananquil: ‘I’ll always be here for you’

Maxene Magalona said she wants to maintain a good relationship with the parents of ex-husband Rob Mananquil, and the actress vowed to keep in touch with them despite her and their son’s breakup.
The actress on Monday reposted a photo from her mother-in-law, journalist-editor Millet Mananquil, on Instagram Stories of what appeared to be a recent dinner date with the Mananquil family. The post has since expired but has been re-uploaded on social media.
Millet quipped by asking if the dinner was intended to celebrate the birthday of one of their companions, or for Magalona’s despedida.
“This is why I love my mother-in-law! I will always be here for you guys! We will still keep meeting up, OK?” she said.

Magalona earlier confirmed that she is now single months after speculations arose that she and Rob have gone their separate ways. Breakup rumors hounded their relationship as early as January when eagle-eyed fans noticed the actress unfollowed Rob on Instagram.
While there was no confirmation from the couple at the time, Magalona was still seen dining with her in-laws on New Year’s Eve. She also looked back at her wedding day and thanked Millet for fulfilling Magalona’s dream of wearing a Vera Wang gown.
