Kat Alano has responded to bashings against her after she made cryptic posts about getting “justice,” on the same day that a court ordered the arrest of actor Vhong Navarro for a case filed against him by Deniece Cornejo in 2014.

The former VJ-model addressed accusations against her and noted that she has been experiencing bashings for years, as per her Twitter page yesterday, Sept. 22.

“Ang daming galit. Binayaran daw ako, laos na daw ako, sawsawera. [Eight] years na ako nagsasalita. Puro bashing lang ang natanggap ko,” she said. (Many are angry. They say I was paid, I am no longer relevant, I meddle. I have been speaking up for eight years. All I received was bashing.)

“Sa tingin niyo worth it magsalita para inaabuso ako ng mga fans niya? Sa tingin niyo lalaban talaga ang ibang victims pag nakita nila ugali [niyo?]” she added, not naming anyone specific. (Do you think speaking up is worth it if I get abused by his fans? Do you think other victims would fight when you show your attitudes?)

Alano then lamented how women are expressing support for an unnamed personality and questioned if they thought of how it may affect other women, as seen on her Twitter post, also yesterday.

“Hindi niyo naiisip ang mga kapwa niyong babae? Akala niyo madali to?” she asked. “Wala akong media company. Wala akong team. Wala akong bayad. Truth lang ang meron ako. Alam ko galit kayo, pero magisip din kayo.”

(Did you not think of your fellow women? Do you think this is easy? I do not have a media company. I do not have a team. I am not paid. All I have is the truth. I know you are angry, but please think.)

This comes after Navarro’s wife Tanya Bautista Navarro spoke to the media, saying she would fight for Navarro.

Back in 2020, Alano opened up on being raped by a “still famous celebrity” who allegedly drugged her and waged “smear campaigns” to destroy her career. She did not mention the celebrity’s name but used the hashtag “#rhymeswithwrong.” Navarro’s name became a trending topic on Twitter after Alano revealed her story.

Earlier this week, Alano talked about getting a “glimpse of justice” after 17 years, alongside the “#rhymeswithwrong” hashtag. She did not name anyone in the post, though some netizens have replied to her with comments seemingly pertaining to the actor-TV host.

A court ruled last Sept. 19 that there was probable cause to hold Navarro for trial and order his arrest in the acts of lasciviousness case filed against him by Cornejo. This is separate from a rape case against him at the Taguig Regional Trial Court.

Cornejo had accused Navarro of molesting her inside her condominium unit on Jan. 22, 2014, then later said a prior incident had taken place on Jan. 17, 2014.

Navarro surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation and transferred to the agency’s detention facility in Manila. He earlier posted a P36,000 bail for his temporary liberty.  /ra
