“Drag Race Philippines” queens are revving up their engines for the show’s first ever season as it dropped its jeepney-themed official trailer.

The series’ trailer, released on WOWPresents’ YouTube channel today, Aug. 4, features host Paolo Ballesteros and all queens competing in the debut season of “Drag Race Philippines.”

“All roads lead to ‘Drag Race Philippines!'” Ballesteros greeted fans while wearing a blue bodysuit and holding checkered racing flags.

The 12 queens then walked the runway in full glam while delivering witty lines related to commuting, such as “Barya lang po sa umaga (Only spare change in the morning),” “God knows Hudas not pay” and “Pull the string to stop.”

They also referenced various things seen along the roads of Manila, including street signs stating “Bawal tumawid, nakamamatay (No crossing, it’s deadly),” a “Good Morning” towel-inspired dress and “takatak” boxes that are usually held by street vendors.

“Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy fight for the crown!” Ballesteros said with a large jeepney signage serving as his background.

“Drag Race Philippines,” a spin-off of the reality drag competition “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” is set to premiere worldwide on Aug. 17. Filipino drag queen Jiggly Caliente and celebrity impersonator KaladKaren will serve as judges on the show.

Fans finally got to see all 12 queens who will be competing in the local adaptation through teaser photos released last July 27.

The competing queens for this season are: Brigiding, Corazon, Eva Le Queen, Gigi Era, Lady Morgana, Marina Summers, Minty Fresh, Precious Paula Nicole, Prince, Turing, Viñas DeLuxe and Xilhouete.  /ra
