Ogie Alcasid has asked the public to be cautious as he informed them of a poser account using his name to sell an air-conditioning unit.
The singer showed a screenshot of the product while stressing that he was not the one managing the page, via his Instagram page today, Aug. 1.
“Guys, there is a poser of mine who is advertising this mini aircon that saves your electricity bills. Please do not believe it. I am not endorsing this mini aircon and that post was not done by me,” he said. “Many have been asking about it and been wanting to buy the [air-conditioning unit]. Beware of this.”
While the actual page of the poser was not shown, it can be seen that the page where the product is being sold gives an option of connecting to the seller through a messaging account named under the singer.
Meanwhile, other celebrities who have also recently warned against fake accounts using their identities were Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga and lifestyle vlogger Kryz Uy. JB
