Pen Medina grateful for safe, successful spine surgery: ‘Hindi pa tapos ang aking laban’

Pen Medina has undergone a successful spine operation for his degenerative disc disease, and the veteran actor is continuously asking for prayers for his complete recovery.

Medina gave an update on his condition as he thanked the medical staff who did his surgery, through his Instagram page last Saturday, July 23.

“Praise God for making my Spinal Surgery safe and successful,” he said. “Hindi pa po tapos ang aking laban (My fight is not yet over), I will be needing more prayers as my medical team addresses the accompanying infection.”

“Marami pong salamat sa lahat ng nagdasal at patuloy na nagdadasal para sa akin,” he added. (Thank you so much to everyone who prayed and are still praying for me.)

While the actor did not give further details on his health, he showed a photo of himself smiling while lying in a hospital bed.

Medina, who has been hospitalized and bedridden for several weeks, has also undergone physical therapy for his condition. His degenerative disc disease was first made public when his family called for prayers and financial support for his medical needs. JB
