“Visiting elders [and] children with disabilities. Mga Hiponatics, napaka-priceless ang feeling kapag gumawa ka ng mabuti para sa ibang tao,” she told her fans. “[…] Sobra po akong na-enlighten sa pagsali sa prestihiyosong patimpalak ng Binibining Pilipinas. ‘Yung alam ko may purpose ako at hindi lang batayan sa ganda.”

“Makakaasa kayo na ako’y babalik ‘pag mas nakalikom ako ng maraming pera mula sa kikitain ko sa pagvlo-vlog. Tutulong akong pagandahin ang pasilidad ng inyong lugar para matutunan ang pangangailangan sa bawat isa sa inyo,” she said.

For Budol, being crowned in Binibining Pilipinas is just a “bonus” since she considers joining the pageant as something that is already worth her efforts. She then dedicated her achievements in the pageant to her grandmother, Nanay Bireng, who passed away last month.

When Budol officially became a Binibining Pilipinas candidate last April, she stated that she will be advocating for autism awareness and detection throughout her stint in in the pageant. She expressed hope to enlighten parents about the importance of early autism detection.

Earlier this week, Budol graduated from college with a degree in tourism. She also wowed fans with her Higantes-inspired national costume during the Binibining Pilipinas national costume competition last Saturday, July 16.

The Binibining Pilipinas coronation night will be held on July 31 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves will serve as hosts of the event.  /ra
