Vice Ganda appeared to have hinted at his return to movies, over two years since he was last seen by audiences on the big screen.

The comedian and “It’s Showtime” host talked about the possibility of doing a new movie during the “Showtime Sexy Babe” segment of the noontime variety show, as seen on YouTube yesterday, March 11.

The subject was brought up while Vice Ganda was describing the animated movements of his co-hosts Ogie Alcasid and Vhong Navarro.

“Ang laki ng galaw niyo ha, pang big screen.” Vice Ganda said to the pair. (Your movements are so big, for the big screen.)

This remark drew a chuckle from Navarro, who told Alcasid that Vice Ganda is hoping to have a movie with both of them. In response, Vice Ganda noted that he had a meeting with ABS-CBN’s film production arm Star Cinema.

“Porke’t nalaman niyong may meeting ako sa Star Cinema kahapon, ha! Kinakabahan na nga ako. Hindi ko alam kung handa ba ako sa mga bagay na ‘yan,” he teased.

(Just because you found out I had a meeting with Star Cinema yesterday, ha. I’m actually nervous about it. I don’t know if I’m ready for those kinds of things.)

Turning serious, Vice Ganda mentioned being involved in casting for a project. He also pointed out that he considers Alcasid his “lucky charm,” seemingly alluding that the singer might be part of the comeback movie.

“Nu’ng nagka-casting kami kagabi, nag-iisip kami, sabi ko, ‘Feeling ko, lucky charm ko now si Ogie Alcasid,'” he said. “Kasi kami talaga ni Vhong ‘yun, kaya sabi ko isama si Ogie kasi parang lucky charm ko.”

(While we were casting last night, we were thinking, I said, “I feel like Ogie Alcasid is my lucky charm now.” Because it’s really me and Vhong, so I said let’s include Ogie because he’s like my lucky charm.)

Vice Ganda did not reveal further details about his meeting with Star Cinema, only joking that Alcasid could act like his movie sidekicks, Negi, MC and Lassy.

The comedian was last seen on the big screen during the Metro Manila Film Festival back in December 2019. He starred in the movie “The Mall, The Merrier,” alongside actress Anne Curtis.  /ra
