WATCH: Vice Ganda treats two random strangers to a shopping spree

Vice Ganda has once again wowed fans with an act of generosity as he surprised and treated random strangers to a shopping spree.
The comedian-TV host talked about how he came up with the idea after receiving a lot of “sana all” comments on his previous shopping videos, as seen on his vlog on his YouTube channel yesterday, Feb. 22.
“Maraming tao ang gusto na ulit maka-experience ng shopping but since marami silang pina-prioritize sa paggamit ng pera, sini-skip nila for more important things to do,” he said.
(There are a lot of people who want to experience shopping again but since they have a lot of things to prioritize, they skip it for more important things.)
A friend of his suggested that he choose people from the working class, noting that most of them have been busy making ends meet. Vice Ganda then agreed and went on to search for prospects on the street.
“‘Yung working class, trabaho nang trabaho, tapos minsan daot pa ‘yung trabaho, minsan wala, minsan meron,” Vice Ganda said. “Dati nung wala pang pandemya, may araw ng buwan na magsh-shop sila kahit papaano pero marami sa kanila ang hindi na ginagawa ‘yun dahil sa pandemic. Meron silang mas pinaglalaanan.”
(People from the working class are working endlessly, and sometimes their employment is unpredictable. Before the pandemic, they may allot a day when they can shop for at least a few things for themselves, but most of them are not able to do that anymore because of the pandemic. They have things to prioritize.)
Vice Ganda chose two bank employees he spotted walking on the street. He brought them to a mall to shop for themselves and for their families, choosing items such as clothes, bags, footwear and kid’s bike.
The bank employees then expressed their gratitude towards Vice Ganda, adding that they were overjoyed by their unexpected experience with the comedian.
Vice Ganda recently revealed being “married” to his boyfriend Ion Perez, after having a wedding commitment ceremony in Las Vegas in October last year. The couple received overwhelming support from fans and fellow celebrities including Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo and Marian Rivera. JB
