Marjorie Barretto emotional as daughter Claudia returns to face-to-face classes
Marjorie Barretto could not help but be excited as Claudia Barretto attended her first face-to-face classes after two years, joking that she felt like her daughter had gone back to kindergarten.
The actress expressed how giddy she was over Claudia’s return to school in a video on her Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 17. She showed Claudia, a psychology student at the Ateneo de Manila University, outside their home with a backpack.
“My Claudia is going back to face to face school [after] almost [two] years. This makes me want to cry! I’m so happy she gets to go to physical school right before she graduates in May,” Marjorie said.
The celebrity mom added that Claudia should enjoy her time in school as she gushed over her daughter’s “school vibe.”
“She’s wearing her backpack again, she has this school vibe and for the first time, she’s driving herself to school. She’s also graduating so she should just enjoy the last few days,” she told fans. “Going back to school! It’s like you’re [in kindergarten] again.”

Fellow celebrities Ruffa Gutierrez and Arlene Muhlach extended greetings to Marjorie and Claudia.
Gutierrez wished Claudia good luck for her remaining months in college, while Muhlach expressed hope that other colleges would start doing face-to-face classes as well.
Ateneo de Manila University announced in an advisory last December 2021 that it would “gradually” return to onsite classes by January this year.
It stated that graduating students would be prioritized when it came to in-person classes, and those in-campus have to be fully vaccinated or undergo COVID-19 testing in compliance with government regulations. /ra
