Alwyn Uytingco, Jennica Garcia go on museum date for their 12th anniversary

Alwyn Uytingco and Jennica Garcia visited a museum for their 12th year together, and the actor considers it a miracle that they are celebrating the milestone.
The pair, who made headlines last year because of their marital woes, can be seen with various art pieces at the Pinto Art Museum in Rizal, as shown on Uytingco’s Facebook page yesterday, Feb. 15. Uytingco stated that, for him, celebrating his 12th year with Garcia is a “miracle.”
“Alam naman natin lahat, isang milagro ang ma-celebrate namin ang 12th anniversary namin. Muntik na nga magtapos sa 11th year [Opo, dahil po sa’kin. Ako po ang may sala. Sorry na po.],” he said, seemingly alluding that he caused their separation last year.
(We all know it’s a miracle that we’re celebrating our 12th anniversary. We almost ended at our 11th year. Yes, because of me. It’s my fault. I’m sorry.)
Uytingco then noted that he carefully planned for their anniversary museum date so Garcia would feel his gratefulness toward her and the chance to celebrate the milestone with her.
“Matagal na niyang gusto makapunta sa museum na ‘yon, lalo pa ng malaman niya na nakapag-shoot ako doon,” he told fans. (She had wanted to go to that museum for a long time, especially when she found out that I had a shoot there.)
Uytingco then recalled his first meeting with Garcia, where they discussed James Cameron’s science fiction film “Avatar.” For him, “I see you” which was a quote from the film, seems to be a better way to acknowledge a person’s presence and worth more than “I love you.”
“[Kahit] ganito ako, maraming kakulangan sa’yo, maraming pagkakamali at napaka-imperfect na tao, nakikita mo pa rin ako,” he told Garcia. “Salamat sa 12 years natin pagsasama. Salamat sa pagmamahal. I see you, Jennica. Mahal kita.”
(Though I’m like this, with many shortcomings, many mistakes and a very imperfect person, you still see me. Thank you for the 12 years together. Thank you for the love. I see you, Jennica. I love you.)

Jennica confirmed her separation from Uytingco back in May last year. She did not disclose the reason for the breakup. Her mother, veteran actress Jean Garcia, blasted Uytingco in June 2021 for being a “disrespectful” son-in-law and causing Jennica heartaches.
Uytingco later thanked Jennica for giving him a “second chance,” hinting at a reconciliation between them by October last year.
The two have since explained that they are “on the same page” when it comes to their marriage. However, Jennica acknowledges that “so much healing” still needs to be done for both of them.
Jennica and Uytingco became a couple in 2010 and got married four years later, in February 2014. They have two children together, Athena and Severina. /ra
