Alwyn Uytingco paid tribute to his wife, actress Jennica Garcia, on her birthday by comparing her to a work of art and thanking her for letting him still be a part of her life.

The actor expressed his admiration for Garcia by showing photos of her alongside various art pieces on his Facebook page yesterday, Dec. 26.

“Ang buhay mo ay isang obra na nilikha ng Diyos. Sa bawat minuto, oras, araw at taon na nakakasama kita, mas gumaganda at mas lumalalim ang pagtingin ko sayo,” he told his wife.

(Your life is a work of art created by God. With every minute, hour, day and year that I spend with you, my love for you becomes more beautiful and deeper.)

Uytingco also described Garcia’s life as colorful, which makes him fall in love with her even more. He then expressed his frustration that Garcia is not able to see the beauty that he sees in her.

“[Wala] kang malay na ganito ang kinang na nakikita ko sa ‘yo at ng mga tao sa paligid mo,” he addressed her. (You are not aware that I and the people around you see this spark in you.)

The actor then appeared to have alluded to the rough patch in their relationship earlier this year, as he talked about giving chances and being worthy of Garcia.

“[Kahit] hindi man ako karapat-dapat na maging parte ng kulay ng buhay mo, heto ka’t nasa harapan ko, araw-araw na binibigyan ng pagkakataon na masilayan ka at masaksihan ang gandang taglay mo,” he said. (Though I am not worthy of being part of the colors in your life, here you are in front of me, giving me a chance every day to see you and witness your beauty.)

“Salamat Jennica dahil andito pa rin ako at parte ng pagpipinta mo. Salamat sa buhay, liwanag at inspirasyon na dala mo para sa ‘kin, sa mga anak natin at mga taong nagmamahal at humahanga sa ‘yo,” he added while greeting Garcia a happy birthday.

(Thank you Jennica because I am still here, a part of your painting. Thank you for the life, light and inspiration that you bring to me, our children and the people who love and admire you.)

Garcia confirmed her breakup with Uytingco last May and moved to a new home with her two children. She did not reveal the reason behind the breakup.

Uytingco then expressed hope last June that their family would be reunited. Meanwhile, his mother-in-law, veteran actress Jean Garcia, called him out on the same month for being a “disrespectful” son-in-law and causing her daughter heartaches.

Uytingco later hinted at a reconciliation with his wife last October by thanking her for giving him a “second chance.”

The two have since appeared on the morning talk show “Mars Pa More” to explain that they are “on the same page” when it comes to their marriage. Given this, Jennica believes “so much healing” still needs to be done before they can get back together. JB
