Heart Evangelista on finding ‘the right man’: ‘No formula, you just know’

Heart Evangelista gave fans advice on how to deal with heartbreak and find true love, saying a tough breakup only prepares one for the “right” person.
While breakups may be a tough experience, the actress thinks lost love only leads people to the person they are meant to end up with, she said on her TikTok page yesterday, Jan. 7. She was answering a fan’s question on how to find out if the person they are with is the “right man” for them.
“How do I answer this question when I have my husband beside me?” she joked. “I’m very confident to answer the question.”
Turning serious, Evangelista stressed that there is no formula to know if someone is right for you.
“Every time you have a breakup, you just cry for one day because it leads you closer to the person you’re really supposed to be with,” she said. “No formula! You just know.”
Evangelista then gestured to her husband, Sorsogon governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, who was in the same room as she. The couple have been quarantining together in Manila after a recent vacation abroad.

Evangelista recently showed her appreciation for Escudero through a “best husband video” tribute before the end of 2021. She also earlier said she would be willing to forgive the governor if ever she learned he was cheating on her.
The couple have been married for over six years. They tied the knot in a private ceremony at Balesin Island Club in February 2015. /ra
