Eddie Gutierrez cleared of prostate cancer, daughter Ruffa confirms

Eddie Gutierrez has officially been cleared of prostate cancer after undergoing an operation, his daughter Ruffa Gutierrez confirmed.
“Dad had an operation and it was a success. He has been cleared of prostate cancer. Thank you, Lord!” the actress announced while showing a photo with her father on her Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 14.
“The weeks leading up to my departure for the [United States were] tough. I experienced a tornado of emotions which I kept exceptionally private,” Ruffa added, while not providing further details about the veteran actor’s operation. She flew to Los Angeles, California last Aug. 10 for a vacation with her daughters Lorin and Venice.

Ruffa thanked those who prayed for Eddie’s recovery, as well as doctors and nurses from St. Luke’s Medical Center Quezon City for taking care of her father.
“He is on the road to a full recovery thanks to your expertise and pag-aalaga (care),” she told the medical staff.
“Sending love to everyone who’s trying their best to heal from things they don’t discuss,” she said. “Keep the faith, pray and stay strong.”
Fellow celebrities Jackie Forster, Ana Roces, Sunshine Cruz and Dawn Zulueta were pleased to hear the good news from Ruffa, and sent well wishes to Eddie and his family. JB
