Manahan has been in the entertainment industry for 50 years. Aside from serving as a director, he also co-founded ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic.
He left ABS-CBN last year, following the rejection of the network’s franchise renewal, and went on to direct TV5’s now-defunct musical variety show “Sunday Night Live” and the noontime show “Lunch Out Loud.”
Manahan’s transfer comes after actress Bea Alonzo also signed a contract with the Kapuso network, after about 20 years as an ABS-CBN talent. /ra
