LOOK: Heart Evangelista celebrates Filipino culture in new hand-painted Louis Vuitton bag
Actress-model Heart Evangelista showed off her hand-painted luxury bag that showcases Filipino culture just in time for the country’s Independence Day celebration today, June 12.
Evangelista, who is known for her talent in painting, shared via Instagram yesterday, June 11, a photo of her holding the painted Louis Vuitton Capucines bag.
“Proudly Filipino,” Evangelista said of the photo, which shows the bag painted with the colors of the Philippine flag depicting a man playing the guitar and a woman sitting down, who are both wearing traditional attires.

In another post, Evangelista gave fans a closer look at the painting, which also shows a black-and-white-colored dog, which is most likely an aspin, joining in the fun.

Earlier today, Evangelista marked Independence Day by sharing with fans another bag inspired by the Philippine flag that is designed by another artist.
“Happy Independence Day, everyone! [Philippine flag emoji] Celebrating the occasion with a first-of-its-kind bag modeled after the Philippine flag by Judith Leiber,” Evangelista said.
“It truly is a reflection of the free spirit of our nation, so today, may we pay tribute to the valiant Filipinos who fought and continues to fight for our freedom and future,” she added.

“I can’t wait to take this with me wherever I am in the world,” Evangelista shared.
Evangelista has been painting bags for quite some time now. Back in November 2018, she shared for the first time via a YouTube vlog the hours-long process of how she paints designer bags for her clients. /ra
