Liam Payne has called it quits with his fiancee, model Maya Henry, less than a year after they announced their engagement.

The former One Direction member made the revelation during his guest appearance on the podcast “The Diary Of A CEO,” yesterday, June 7. When asked by podcast host Steven Bartlett if he was single, Payne replied, “I am indeed.”

The singer added that he was disappointed with the way he handled his past relationships, admitting that he was not “very good” at it and that he “keeps on hurting people.”

“That annoys me. I know what my pattern of things is with relationships, I feel at this point,” he said. “I’m just not very good at them so I just need to work on myself before I put myself on to somebody else.”

Payne noted that he was not giving a “very good version” of himself when he dated Henry, which was something that he did not appreciate. For him, both he and Henry were better off apart.

“I didn’t feel good for doing what I did but it had to happen. I know that’s the corniest way of saying it was best for both of us, but it just feels like that,” he added.

Payne and Henry were romantically linked in August 2018, but the singer did not confirm their romance until September 2019. He then popped the question in August of last year. JB
