Has Julia Barretto revealed she’s ‘taken’?

Julia Barretto appears to have dropped hints about her relationship status through a TikTok challenge she did with friends.
The challenge was to pick a side between two choices, which were between “single” and “taken,” “Pinoy” and “AFAM” (a foreigner), “older” and “younger” and “funny drunk” and “emotional drunk.”
The TikTok video, posted yesterday, Jan. 9 by Shamee Sugui, included Sugui, Barretto, Chienna Filomeno, Keiko Nakajima, Issa Pressman and Aeriel Garcia.

Barretto chose “taken,” “AFAM,” “older” and “funny drunk.” Some viewers took Barretto’s choices to mean that she was in a relationship and that she was describing who she was with.
Barretto has been linked to Gerald Anderson, who is Filipino-American and eight years older than the actress.
Though both Barretto and Anderson have yet to confirm their relationship, social media posts have fueled romance rumors. The actress also admitted that she was “in love” in an interview with writer G3 San Diego in November last year.
Meanwhile, one of Barretto’s recent Instagram posts shows the actress with a new dog; eagle-eyed followers speculate that the arm next to her belongs to Anderson.

The two starred in the 2019 film “Between Maybes” and were rumored to be an item in July 2019 after actress Bea Alonzo wrote cryptic messages that appeared to refer to Anderson, whom she was dating then.
Later on, Alonzo said they did not formally breakup and that Anderson just stopped talking to her. The actor, meanwhile, stressed that there was no third party in the split. JB
