Various Asian and American artists have united for a timely cross-cultural single about overcoming today’s problems and “facing a new world together.”

The song, titled “RISE,” feature the talents of Filipino singers Sam Concepcion and Iñigo Pascual, Manila-based producer Moophs, Malaysian singer-songwriter Zee Avi, US-based songwriter Vince Nantes and Grammy Award-winning R&B singer Eric Bellinger.

“RISE” is now available on several music streaming services starting last midnight today, Sept. 18, alongside its lyric video, which was uploaded through record label Tarsier Records’ YouTube channel.

“We both made mistakes / It’s what it is / Who am I not to forgive? / Won’t point the blame / Won’t call no names / I know you still feel the same,” Bellinger sings.

“Oh, nah nah, don’t worry now / If love is in your heart, we’re gonna figure out / Never let go, stay together,” he adds.

Staying true to its theme, the song reminds listeners that they will “see the light” and that “the sun is on your side through the dark times,” something many would like to hear amid the pandemic.

“RISE” was written by Nantes, who was also one of the composers of South Korean boy band BTS’ song “Black Swan.”  /ra
