OPM icon Ebe Dancel has released the cover for his third solo album “Baliktanaw”, which will debut on Feb. 29, the same day of his first major solo concert.

The former Sugarfree frontman gave fans a peek of the said cover for his first album in four years via Instagram earlier today, Feb. 26.

“First look at the album cover. Happily back with @polyeastrecords and we’re launching the album at my concert on Saturday. Limited copies will be sold at the venue. 4 days to go. Life is good,” he said.

The cover features an image of the singer-songwriter sitting on a stool with his guitar against a plain white background, as seen in the post accompanied by a short audio clip of his single “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mahihintay”.

“Baliktanaw” is set to give fans a good dose of nostalgia as it will be composed of re-recorded versions of Sugarfree hits along with the mentioned single, according to Dancel.

“Word is out. I have officially reunited with @polyeastrecords for my upcoming album, ‘Baliktanaw’. It features my single Hanggang Kailan Kita Mahihintay, as well as rerecorded versions of your favorite Sugarfree songs. All glory to God,” he announced on Instagram on Feb. 1o.

Record label PolyEast Records, formerly named EMI Philippines, helped Dancel make his mark in OPM by handling Sugarfree’s first-ever album “Sa Wakas” way back in 2003.

The launch of “Baliktanaw” and his concert “Ebe Dancel with the Manila String Machine” at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig will be in commemoration of his 20 years in the music industry. NVG
