LOOK: Dimples Romana, family go dog sledding, see Aurora Borealis in Finland
Dimples Romana and her family flew to Finland, where they went dog sledding in the snow and were in awe of the famous Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).
The actress and her loved ones arrived in the Nordic country last Saturday, Feb. 22, as per her Instagram post on the same day.
Their trip follows the end of “Kadenang Ginto”, where Romana starred alongside Beauty Gonzales. Upon arriving, she and her family first enjoyed a hearty meal together.
After a night’s rest, they went dog sledding through a snow-covered forest. Leading the way was Romana’s eldest child, her daughter Callie, as seen on the actress’ Instagram Stories.

While Callie steered a pack of huskies on her own sled, another group of dogs followed behind, pulling her family’s sled.
With her daughter leading the way, Romana, her husband Boyet Ahmee and son Alonzo enjoyed the rest of the ride with some dancing. In a separate post, the three showed off their moves while listening to the 2016 track “River” by Bishop Briggs.
Finally being able to take a break with her family after her time as Daniela Mondragon on “Kadenang Ginto” has taught Romana two things, she said in another post.
“First, how important it is to work hard and love the work that you have. To never take anything for granted,” she explained. “For the work that we do will be rewarded with provision that we can give our family. Love the work that you do and it’ll surely love you back.”
“Second, that after working hard, one must never forget to take time to recharge and be with the ones who give meaning to your life,” Romana added. “In short, work hard, play hard.”
Aside from dog sledding, the family also got to see the popular Aurora Borealis.
“Hi Aurora [heart eyes emoji] on our first night,” Romana said. “This photo was taken last night by my hubby @boyetahmee around [11 p.m.] here in [Rovaniemi], Finland seen from our very own glass igloo. What a blessing.”
The actress also noted that her husband was tearing up when he kissed her and woke her up to see the lights. The family saw the lights thanks to an alarm in their room that goes off when they come out.
