Jojo Mendrez hints at new collab with influencer-singer Elias J

It seems like a collaboration between Jojo Mendrez and internet personality Elias J is in the works, as Mendrez shared a clip of himself and the up-and-coming singer performing a cover of “Nandito Lang Ako.”

On his Facebook page on Tuesday, April 22, Mendrez shared a clip of Elias doing vocal warm-ups and practicing “Nandito Lang Ako” before their brief cover performance.

“Practice muna with Elias (Elias and I will practice),” he wrote.

The singer also shared glimpses of his interactions with Elias in separate Facebook posts, with one of them engaging in “small talk.” Another clip showed the singers posing with the nickname “Jolias,” a combination of their names, edited on their photos.

“Grabe 5 minutes lang alam na agad ni Elias ang song ko (Elias already knew my song within five minutes),” Mendrez captioned his post.

According to reports, Elias will be featured in the music video of Mendrez’s latest single, “I Love You Boy.” The latter, however, has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, as of this writing.

Mendrez previously sparked dating allegations with Mark Herras and Rainier Castillo. However, his friendship with Herras apparently ended after he filed a grave threat against the “Starstruck” alum over the latter’s alleged threats to burn his house down.

The singer denied the dating rumors on multiple occasions with Herras and Castillo on multiple occasions, and vice versa.

Mendrez, who is dubbed the “Revival King,” released a rendition of “I Love You Boy” in April 2025. The track is originally sung by Timmy Cruz. He is also known for his songs “Nandito Lang Ako” and the revival of “Somewhere in My Past.”
