LOOK: Claudine Barretto uses Rico Yan’s blanket for baby Noah
Even with a family of her own, Claudine Barretto remains sentimental over her late ex-boyfriend Rico Yan.
The actress posted on Instagram Wednesday, Oct. 18, a picture of her youngest child, Noah, lying down on her, a yellow blanket on top of him.

Fans were quick to notice that the blanket looked familiar, stating that it was Yan’s. Barretto confirmed this in the comments section, stating, “Yes po. It’s RY’s yellow blanket. I first bought that in Gift Gate when I was 15 years old. Sabina’s age. Ry brings (sic) it anywhere or any country he goes to.”
One fan @nylgibac asked Barretto to clarify if that was her gift to Yan and if she was still with Mark Anthony Fernandez at the time. Barretto said that she was still involved with Fernandez and that she considered it her “security blanket,” and it became his when they were together.
Previously, Barretto reminisced about the yellow blanket designed with the cartoon frog Keroppi. In 2017, Yan’s 15th death anniversary, she posted a picture of him caught sleeping with it.

The matinee idol passed away in March 2002 when he was 27. He and Barretto starred in hit movies such as “Got 2 Believe” and “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita.” /ra
