Heart Evangelista, an avid animal lover, was reunited with one of her dogs that went missing yesterday, Nov. 18, thanks to the help of her followers on social media.

“My dog Casper is missing. Along new Manila… please help us find him,” the actress said in her Twitter post yesterday afternoon.

“He will not make it without us,” she added. “We need him and he needs us! [Please] help.”

Evangelista also posted photos of her animal companion, a white Maltese. Netizens were quick to offer their assistance to the actress to help locate her lost pet.

One @chastv, who lives in New Manila, Quezon City, asked if Casper had any specific features that would make it easier to identify the dog. However, Evangelista said that “he is just all white” since her maids forgot to put a collar on him.

Evangelista later stated that Casper was last seen along 9th and 10th Streets in the area, after the concerned netizen asked about his latest whereabouts.

Hours later, Evangelista revealed that she had been reunited with Casper.

“You guys!!! Thank you so much for. Helping! Social media is the best!” she said. “[laughs] I am so touched for everything!!!! We found Casper!!! He is now in the car on his way home.”

The news of Casper being found brought the actress to tears. She thanked everyone who helped in locating the dog, especially a certain driver who picked him up.
