‘Giling was never my forte,’ Heart Evangelista says as she pokes fun at old performance on ‘G-mik’

Heart Evangelista, who has made a name as a multi-talented artist, admitted that dancing may not be one of her best skills after a clip of one of her past performances resurfaced online.
Evangelista noticed the video after one Ky Lee (@kyliedgreat) posted it on Twitter last Tuesday, Nov. 12. The said clip featured the actress dancing with fellow cast members on the 1999 TV show “G-mik.”

The netizen, addressing blogger Mimiyuuuh, said: “@mimiyuuuh gorl anong masasabi mo [kay] Miss Heart? Hahaha pa request naman kami ng dance collab vlog mala ganito @heart021485 girltrenz who??”

In the clip, Evangelista was not able to follow all the steps on time, as compared with the other dancers. The netizen appeared to have compared her dancing to the group GirlTrends, whose past performances on “It’s Showtime” went viral for their unsynchronized dancing at the time.
Evangelista then referred to the clip on her own Twitter page, saying, “Hahah giling (dancing) was never my forte! Hahah mag paint ka nalang baby hearty (just paint baby hearty)!”

Another netizen (@purpleaddict17) responded to Evangelista and assured her that she knows the actress can dance.
“Feeling ko kulang ka lang sa practice that time pero need mo pa [din] magperform for professionalism,” the Twitter user added.
(I feel that you just lacked practice at that time but you still needed to perform for professionalism.)
Evangelista later revealed that the said dance number was one of her “first performances ever.”
