Drew Arellano and his firstborn Primo had a father-and-son bonding as they joined and finished a marathon held in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Drew documented their experience through his Instagram page on Tuesday, Nov. 19. The father and son appear to have run under different categories as they had different name and number tags during the race. Primo’s has a “parent/caregiver” written on it.

“Not sure if it was the breathtaking snowcapped mountain range and lake views that slowed me down, or the rolling terrain—but one thing is for sure: every second of pain was totally worth it,” Drew said in the caption. “So, don’t expect to set a personal best; instead, expect the best marathon experience!”

“And what a way to share it with family who raced alongside me,” he added. “I’ll definitely find another reason to visit you again, Queenstown!”
