Ai-Ai delas Alas finds humor in reactions to her forgetting lyrics to ‘Bang Bang’
Ai-Ai delas Alas has laughed off getting tongue-tied while performing the pop song “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj during the TV talent competition “The Clash.”
The comedy queen brought laughs—perhaps unintentionally—when she took on Minaj’s rap in the song. She performed alongside girl group XOXO last Monday, Nov. 4.
Even if Delas Alas rapped gibberish, she still gave her all in the performance. Social media users poked fun at it and even saw themselves in her rendition.
Twitter user @yomattyu included subtitles to Delas Alas’ own lyrics; the video has earned nearly 600,000 views since it was uploaded on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

One Facebook user, a Budalyn L. Betita, posted a snippet of the video with singer Lani Misalucha’s shocked reaction with the caption, “KAPAG NAKA INOM AT GUSTO MO YUNG KANTA (When you get drunk and you love the song)!!!”

She explained on Instagram last night that she had studied the song, but that when she gets stressed she feels like she cannot read the words in the teleprompter.

“Dumating nga ako sa point pag may concert ako kunyare November ang concert July palang nag mememorize nako ng kanta pero pag dating ng Nov ganun pa din at may teleprompter pa kakaloka,” she said.
(I’ve come to the point that if I have a concert, say in November, I would start memorizing songs by July, but when November comes I still need the teleprompter; it’s ridiculous.)
She found a silver lining: “Basta masayang masaya kumare ko haha @lanimisalucha (At least my friend Lani Misalucha was so happy).” /ra
