Heart Evangelista has made headlines for her impeccable fashion, even garnering international recognition for her taste in designer labels.
Inevitably her style has changed over the years, and it was evident in a throwback picture from 2013 that she shared on Instagram yesterday, Aug. 30. The actress posted a picture of her and husband Congressman Francis “Chiz” Escudero sharing an ice cream dessert in New York restaurant Serendipity 3.
While fans fawned over the romantic picture taken about two years before the couple’s wedding in 2015, others commented on the actress’ appearance. She could be seen wearing a leather jacket.
Instagram user @bing.armitage told her, “You look so simple back then, no chunky rings and bangles… di mo aakalaing artista pala. Maybe that is one trait na nagustuhan sa ‘yo ni Chiz.”
(You wouldn’t have known that you are an actress. Maybe that is one trait that Chiz liked about you.)
“I wasn’t simple here actually I was just feeling sick this day,” Evangelista clarified.
Another Instagram user (@muffin_hannah_elb) chimed in that the actress did not wear designer jewelry like Hermes and Cartier. “You’ve improved a lot. More fashionable and elegant now!”
Evangelista replied, “Umm not really had my Cartier since I was a teen. But as I got older I became bolder with my style. I also went through a bohemian look in my twenties. Evolution is amazing!! That will be all in my book this [September]!”
The fashionista teased her book “Styled with Heart” on Aug. 13 on Instagram. The project involves “Crazy Rich Asians” author Kevin Kwan, who dubbed her a “real crazy rich Asian” for her penchant for high fashion. /ra
