WATCH: First trailer for Timothée Chalamet starrer ‘The King’
The first trailer for the Timothée Chalamet starrer “The King” was released last Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The film is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s history plays “Henry IV, Part 1”, “Henry IV, Part 2″ and “Henry V”.
Oscar nominee Chalamet (“Call Me by Your Name”) plays boisterous Prince Hal, who reluctantly takes the throne in 1415 after the death of his tyrannical father (Ben Mendelsohn), to become King Henry V of England.
He must negotiate England’s complex politics in the midst of the Hundred Years’ War, while navigating his past and his relationship with his mentor and close friend, Sir John Falstaff (Joel Edgerton).
Sean Harris, Lily-Rose Depp, Robert Pattinson and Ben Mendelsohn also star in the production.
