“This will be the site of one special endeavor that is near and dear to my heart— building a facility which provides services such as spaying, neutering, tagging and shots, and a community that welcomes animals and treats them with love,” she added.

The 34-year-old actress also expressed excitement to finally see her dream become reality.

“This is step one and I am already brimming with excitement for this special project and I can’t wait to finally turn this dream into reality! Doing this one step at a time until we get there,” she said.

Evangelista has been an advocate of animal protection and collaborates with Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

Last year, she launched a campaign with PAWS, “Have a Heart for Aspins” urging the public to “#AdoptDontShop.”  (Editor: Gilbert S. Gaviola)
