Liza Soberano bonds with Filipino-Portuguese half brother

Liza Soberano is savoring her time bonding with her Filipino-Portuguese half brother, John, who came over for a visit.
Ogie Diaz, Soberano’s talent manager, took to social media on Feb. 18 to share photos of the two. According to Diaz, John is 22 years old and is Soberano’s half brother from her dad, who is also named John.
“Siya si John, 22 yo. Ang mother niya Portuguese. Ang daddy naman niya ay Filipino,” Diaz wrote. “Matangkad na bata, mga 6 or 6’1 ang height. Si Liza ay 5’7.”

John came to the Philippines after their dad requested to see him. They apparently had not seen each other since John was six months old.
“Tuwang-tuwa si Daddy John, dahil when he left US, huling kita niya kay younger John ay 6 months old,” Diaz said. “Kaya ang ama ay ninanamnam ang presensiya ng anak bago ito lumipad sa US in April.”
He also said that Soberano and John are already very close with each other. John has also met Soberano’s boyfriend Enrique Gil, and the two seemed to have gotten along well.
“Na-meet na rin [ni] John si Enrique Gil at tingin ko kahapon sa tsikahan nila ay close na din sila,” Diaz said.
Soberano also has a half sister, Rianne Love, through their father. The two posed for an adorable portrait in February 2018, prompting many of Soberano’s fans to gush over the cute little tot. Rianne seems to have taken a liking to Gil, too, after the latter went with Soberano’s family to Disneyland Paris during the holiday season in 2017. /ra
