Yoga instructor Lee Yoo-joo, best known for her appearance in the South Korean reality show “Infinite Challenge,” died on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at the age of 35.

Lee’s death was confirmed by her yoga studio Yogaum through a statement released on Instagram on Wednesday.

“We have a sudden heartbreaking news to share. Teacher Lee Yoo-jo passed away yesterday (Feb. 18),” it said in Korean.

The page also noted that as wished by Lee’s family, there will be no wake or funeral for the yoga instructor, although a space dedicated for her will be set up in the yoga studio for final greetings.

“Please pray that the soul of teacher Lee Yu-joo, who brightened the world with her special talent, can rest in peace,” the statement added.

No cause of death was immediately disclosed.

Fans expressed grief over Lee’s passing while also pointing out how she seemingly made a cryptic message with her last Instagram post.

“Bye,” Lee wrote as caption of her close-up photos.

Just prior to this, another Korean celebrity, 24-year-old actress Kim Sae-ron, was reported to have died. Authorities later ruled her death as suicide.

Kim’s death reignited calls to address and change the way the country’s celebrities are treated in the public arena and on social media.
