Andrea Brillantes has sparked dating rumors with college basketball player Samuel “Sam” Fernandez after they were spotted on a Valentine’s date.
In videos uploaded by netizens on social media, the pair was seen in a restaurant where Brillantes was wearing a halter red polka dot mini dress and was seen talking to one of the staff.
The athlete, on the other hand, was captured standing at the back of the actress, holding a bouquet of pink roses.
Brillantes then showcased on her TikTok videos the same bouquet that the Filipino-Jordanian varsity player was seen holding, fueling speculation about their date.
The viral videos sparked discussion on Reddit, with users claiming that the “Senior High” actress has been spotted with the San Beda College athlete on numerous occasions.

As of writing, Brillantes and Fernandez have yet to address the dating rumors surrounding them.
In June 2024, Brillantes marked her first year of not being in a romantic relationship after she uploaded a picture of her holding a cake given to her by friends to celebrate her “Singlesarry.”
At the time, the 21-year-old actress stressed that she was fine being single, although she did not close her doors to a love relationship.
“Honestly, l’m fine alone. [Kahit] mag-isa ako, kayang-kaya ko ang lahat,” she said during the presscon for “Tao Po.” “Kasi ang love, ang kaisa-isang emosyon na kahit perfect ka na siguro, kapag tinamaan ka ng pag-ibig, pwede kang manghina.”
The “Kadenang Ginto” star was previously in a relationship with another basketball player, Ricci Rivero. The pair announced their separation in June 2023 after almost two years of dating.
In late 2023, Brillantes was also dragged into the highly publicized breakup of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, as the alleged third party.
