“I must admit I’m pressured but more grateful. Grabe mga kasama ko dito nakaka-starstruck. Skilled veterans na nirerespeto ang mga pangalan. ‘Di ko hahayaang magpadala sa kaba. I will make this pressure into motivation. Di ko ni-expect. I’m not really at par sa kanila. I’m excited to see if mago-grow pa ako as an actress,” read the quote card of her statement she shared on her Instagram Story.

In an interview with TV Patrol, the young actress shared that her role in “Batang Quiapo” is different from her roles in “Senior High” and “High Street.”

“I am ready for more mature roles. We have this thing na pag mature roles, parang daring sexy na. It’s more of like, for me, leveling up pa kasi yung mga kasama ko talaga mga bigating veterans,” she said, adding that she needs to step up her game.

Aside from Brillantes, Michael de Mesa and Shamaine Buencamino are also among the new faces that will be gracing the action series.

“Batang Quiapo” currently stars Coco Martin, Charo Santos, Christoper de Leonà and Cherry Pie Pichache, among others.
