Blackpink’s Jisoo and Seo In-guk will join forces in the upcoming K-drama “Boyfriend on Demand,” marking it their first time to be paired up in a series.
Jisoo and Seo’s casting was confirmed by a streaming platform in a press statement on Thursday, February 20. Details on the premiere date and their co-stars are yet to be announced.
The upcoming series revolves around a webtoon producer Mi-rae (Jisoo) with a “non-existent dating life” due to her busy schedule. She escapes reality through a subscription-based virtual dating simulation program allowing her to meet “unrealistically perfect boyfriends.” Through the program, Mi-rae finds the desire to get into a relationship.
Meanwhile, Seo will portray the role of Park Kyeong-nam, who is said to be Mi-rae’s colleague and rival webtoon producer. His “indifferent and cold demeanor” makes the latter intimidated by him although she eventually discovers there is more than what meets the eye.
