Bryan Singer may not have been present at the Golden Globes, but he still celebrated the wins of biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” even if he is said to have left the production on a bad note.

In a post yesterday, Jan. 7, Singer shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the movie, his back facing the camera as he sits on a director’s chair. “What an honor. Thank you #HollywoodForeignPress,” he captioned the photo.

Singer’s Instagram regularly features behind-the-scenes videos and photos even if he was booted out of the production in December 2017. He remains credited as director despite weeks of shooting yet to be completed.

During the awards ceremony, those involved in the production, including actor Rami Malek and members of Queen band, made it a point to avoid mentioning Singer.

FEATURED STORIES

It is believed that Singer’s lack of professionalism led to a production shutdown, prompting 20th Century Fox to remove him as director, as per The Hollywood Reporter in December 2017.

Because Singer was missing in action, cinematographer Newton Thomas Sigel took on directing duties on some days prior to the shutdown.

Malek was reportedly unhappy with the situation and complained to the studio. He and Singer had confrontations, but resolved the issue between themselves so shooting could resume.

Singer told The Hollywood Reporter that his absences were a result of taking care of a “gravely ill parent” and that Fox did not allow him to prioritize his health and that of his loved ones.

Just days after he was fired from the film, Singer faced a lawsuit for allegedly raping a 17-year-old boy in 2003. He denied the allegations.  Niña V. Guno /ra
