‘My love’: Rami Malek confirms romance with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ co-star Lucy Boynton
Could Rami Malek have found the love of his life?
Rami Malek confirmed his relationship with “Bohemian Rhapsody” co-star Lucy Boynton in a touching speech on Jan. 3 at an awards night in California.
Malek, 37, paid tribute to Boynton, 24, as he accepted an award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, People reported. The actor received the Breakthrough Performance Award.
“Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love. I appreciate you so much,” he said.
Boynton played Mary Austin to Malek’s Freddie Mercury in the biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” which followed the band Queen since its beginnings in 1970 up to the 1985 Live Aid concert.
Austin was Mercury’s former lover and fiancee who remained a close friend up until his death. So inspired was Mercury by Austin that he penned the 1975 hit song “Love of My Life” for her.
