How Robin Padilla felt after meeting father-in-law for the first time

Robin Padilla finally met his father-in-law, Abelardo Termulo, on Christmas Eve following many years of waiting. Their meeting was first shared by wife Mariel Rodriguez on Monday, Dec. 24, when she posted a picture of her family on Instagram.
Rodriguez shared that her year was finally complete. After all, she had waited for eight long years until the day her father and Padilla met.
Padilla, too, took to his Instagram on Dec. 26 to share photos of him and Termulo during their meeting and expressed his elation for finally being able to “mano” his “dad.”
“Pagkatapos ng higit sa 8 taon na paghihintay at mahigit na tatlong visa application sa US Embassy upang makilala at hingin ang kamay ni Mariel sa kanyang ama na si Ginoong Abelardo Termulo ay nakapag mano na rin ako sa kanyang kanang kamay…” shared Padilla.

His post featured photos of him and Termulo intimately speaking to each other during Christmas Eve while the rest of the family gathered in the living room.
He further told his fans that he received Termulo’s approval upon sharing his plans and dreams for him and Rodriguez. He also expressed his admiration for Termulo, saying he is his “idol” for being able to establish himself in the United States.
“Isa pong karangalan ang makamayan kayo sir Abelardo Termulo idol ko po kayo sa inyong pakikipagsapalaran sa dayuhang bansa ng Estados Unidos,” said Padilla. “Ang inyong sipag at tiyaga lalo sa pagiging isang ama at isang anak ay inspirasyon sa mga kalalakihan ng las islas Pilipinas.”
Ending his post on a jovial note, he addressed Termulo as his “dad” and himself as his “Muslim” son.
“Mabuhay po kayo dad! Salamat po sa pagpaparamdam sa amin lahat ng tunay na mensahe ng Pasko,” he said. “Mula sa inyong anak na Muslim Maligayang Pasko po sa inyo at sa buong pamilya ng Termulo.” /ra
