Coco Martin, ABS-CBN execs hold dialogue with DILG, PNP on ‘Ang Probinsyano’
TV show “Ang Probinsyano” lead actor Coco Martin and ABS-CBN executives on Wednesday visited the National Headquarters of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Quezon City to attend a dialogue with police officials and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) amid recent controversies on the show.
In an interview with reporters, Martin said he hopes to fix the issues about the show with the PNP and the DILG through the dialogue.
“Sana sa pagpunta namin ngayon ay magkadayalogo, makapag-usap na kasi ang hangarin naman nating lahat ay maging maayos ang buong sambayanan at magkaisa,” he said.
(I hope in our visit today we will be able to hold a dialogue and talk about the matter since our aim is for everyone to be united.)
He also thanked the viewers who continue to support the show despite recent controversies.
Martin will also have a meeting with PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde on Monday, PNP Spokesperson Benigno Durana Jr. said. He said there will also be succeeding talks between the two parties on the issue.

The PNP recently withdrew its support for the show, including withdrawal of personnel, facilities, and equipment. /je
