Sammie Rimando, Arjo Atayde break up; she’s mum on his rumored relationship with Maine Mendoza

Past rumors that Arjo Atayde and Sammie Rimando have broken up now appear to be true as the latter confirmed that their relationship is now over.

The girl group GirlTrends member admitted their breakup in a HotSpot 2018 interview posted on YouTube Wednesday.

“Okay naman po yung breakup namin,” Rimando was quoted in the interview with DJ Jhai Ho. “Di naman po bad breakup.”

When asked why she and the actor decided to part ways, Rimando said both of them wanted to focus on their respective careers. Despite ending the relationship, she said she still had “full support” for her now ex-boyfriend.

Are they still on speaking terms? “Siguro text-text. Hindi ko masabi, hindi naman tuloy-tuloy… Kamustahan, ganoon,” Rimando said.

However, she chose to remain silent on the rumors of Atayde being linked to “Eat Bulaga” mainstay Maine Mendoza.

Atayde and Mendoza have been spotted together having a dinner date in a Makati City restaurant, as reported by the Philippine Entertainment Portal in October.

Recently, speculations arose that the rumored couple vacationed in Bali, Indonesia. An Instagram post of Mendoza riding down a zip line made fans point out that she was indeed on the trip with the actor.
