Regine Velasquez on transfer to ABS-CBN: ‘Lumipat lang ako ng network, ‘di pumatay ng tao’
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez is finally making a stand against her critics who cannot seem to accept that she is now a Kapamilya.
While it may have been already weeks since she said goodbye to GMA-7, some bashers are still having a hard time with her decision. Some even throw insults at her, to the point that her friend Arnell Ignacio felt the need to come to her defense.
Velasquez has therefore penned an open letter to her bashers via Instagram yesterday, Oct. 29, to silence them once and for all. She said she is “truly happy” for GMA, and told her bashers, “And I’m happy you guys are happy.”
She then made a suggestion to her haters who accuse her of not being “loyal” to the network despite her 20-year stay with GMA: “Maybe you guys can stop insulting me, my husband and my son.”

“Wala naman pong pilitan ito. Free TV po ito walang bayad we are all here to provide you entertainment FOR FREE!!!! So sa madaling salita kayo ang panalo dito.”
(No one is being forced here. This is free TV, no need to pay, we are all here to provide you entertainment for free. So, in simple words, you win here.)
She was then showered with words of support led by her husband Ogie Alcasid: “You are loved, sweetheart. Truly loved.”
Other celebrities showed support for the songstress too, such as Kim Chiu, KZ Tandingan, Kakai Bautista, Iza Calzado, Jed Madela and Erik Santos.
Then came encouraging words from none other than the Megastar herself, Sharon Cuneta. She too hit at Velasquez’s bashers, saying, “Ang inaapi binebless ni God (Those who are being attacked are blessed by God)!”
Velasquez was greeted with a warm welcome by ABS-CBN on Oct. 17. She then made her grand debut as a Kapamilya during a live show of “ASAP” held in Sydney, Australia. JB
