Julia Barretto drops ‘narcissist’ quote as dad Dennis Padilla cuts ties with them

Julia Barretto intrigued fans with a quote about a “narcissist” not caring about being a good parent, which came after her father Dennis Padilla announced that he is permanently cutting off ties with her and her siblings Claudia and Leon.
Padilla’s declaration was prompted by the supposed “visitor” treatment he received at the recent wedding of Claudia and her longtime boyfriend Basti Lorenzo.
Julia, who has yet to comment on her father’s previous outbursts, shared via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 11, a series of posts from one Anthony Bompiani.
One of them reads: “A narcissist doesn’t care about being a good parent—they just care about looking like one.”
“A narcissist’s favorite role? The victim. Because it distracts from the damage they caused,” another quote says.
“To a narcissist, the kids are just pawns in their war to break you,” the other post states.

Julia, however, did not immediately add any caption to her reposts. She also later removed the shared quotes from her page, but screenshots of them have already been re-uploaded on social media.
Meanwhile, Leon, who has yet to speak up as well on his dad’s statements against them, penned an open letter for Claudia and her husband. In his message, Leon advised the couple to “protect [their] peace and joy.”
“My Claui just got married… Still can’t believe I’m saying that,” Leon began, crediting Claudia for raising him to become a better man.
“My only wish for you is to be loved the same way you love—so deeply, so genuinely. As I said in my speech, I had the privilege of not only being watched by you as I grew up, but by Basti too,” he continued. “I witnessed a rare kind of love between the two of you—one that stayed strong through adversity.”
Leon further noted how he witnessed the couple “helped each other become the best versions of [themselves] over the years.”
“Claui, I hope you know I’ll forever be here for you in times of hardship. Even though someone else will now look after you, as your brother, I won’t ever let you go through life’s challenges alone,” he wrote.
“I pray for a happy marriage ahead. Continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away,” he added. “Love you, Claudia. And welcome to the family, Basti.”
