‘Cost-cutting or snubbing?’: Lolit Solis alarmed over her talents’ ‘unfair’ taping sked

Talent manager Lolit Solis, in her latest online musing, expressed concern for her talents’ “unfair” taping schedule, as she sought an explanation from ABS-CBN’s business unit heads.
“Gusto ko manawagan sa mga unit head ng Channel 2 Salve.” she wrote today, Oct. 18 on Instagram. “Kasi napapansin ko iyon mga alaga ko ang taping halos once a week lang, kung minsan nga marami na iyon 3 times a month. Kaloka ha, nakatali ka sa series ganun lang ang trabaho mo, ‘di ba para naman unfair, lalo pag isa lang ang ginagawa mo.”
(I want to appeal to the unit heads of Channel 2, Salve. Because I’ve been noticing that my talents are only filming almost only once a week, sometimes three times a month at most. It’s crazy, you are bound to the series but you only have to work that many times. Isn’t that unfair especially when you’re only doing one [series]?)

Apparently, she noticed that there was a month when her talent Amy Austria only filmed once for the drama television series “Halik”. Solis wants to ask business unit head Ruel Bayani, who developed “Halik”, if Austria’s filming schedule is due to the fact that the production is trying to cut costs or that Austria’s role is not too important in the series.
“Sana kung ganun, fix na araw na lang ang hingin ng production o pag Monday o anuman araw ka lang kailangan ha, the rest of the week, puwede kang kumuha ng ibang trabaho,” she implored.
(If that’s the case, please make sure my talents’ taping schedule is fixed so they can get other jobs during the rest of the week.)
“Please paging, Deo Endrinal, Ruel Bayani and other unit managers, paki clear nga po ito problem na ito,” she stated. “Mama Malou Santos, ano ba ito, cost-cutting o snubbing? [laughs] Joke pero medyo alarming dahil feeling lugi ka na tali ka sa teleserye pero once a month lang trabaho mo. Please.”
